Starving and Fate
Lying on the floor, we were dreaming some bread.
Snoring lavishly, You burped out that smell;
we yarned bitterly with a bruising gut burning like hell.
You rolled in a blanket, Soo warm, soo well;
Our stomach was craving cuddling itself.
You had yummy food, According to your mood;
All day our mood was shrinking for some food.
You worked out and burnt the calories you earned;
We worked soo hard, having no calories to burn.
When You hated the taste, Your bins consumed that waste,
They grew broader and broader, double to our waist.
You wasted more food than you ate;
We buried our mate as death by starving was his fate.
Ps: This was the story of a child whose childhood went by looking at those who either enjoyed too much food or made faces when it wasn't good. He used to look at their expressions, swallowing his dried throat. He used to look at them, searching and squeezing his empty dirty pockets. For that child, life taught him experiences way ahead of his age. And that child has grown up into a man, Working day in and day out, feeding 12 members of his family.
And now I am the Child of that MAN.
Feed the need.
-Wishyou
